LEDs APPEAR to be brighter because they are WHITER. In reality, the distance you can see is not that different. If they were that much more powerful, they would blind oncoming drivers and would not be legal. Pitch black at night where I live. The halogens do just fine.
And our new Audi has LEDs. It doesn't extend its throw of light any farther than our truck.
On my F150 XL halogens, I adjusted them to where they should aim and the lighting is much better. When I have more time, I am going to inspect the housing to figure out if the high beam portion can be adjusted separately from the low beam.
Never worked on a F150 but if the headlights are anything like Super Duty, one adjustment screw only. In fact there isn't really a "high beam portion" on these. 4 bulbs and they're all H13, which contain both high and low.
FWIW, I've had 4 Super Duties with halogens, but the latest generation seem to be the worst. My 1999's lights seem to work better (direct comparison as I had that and my '22 at the same time). I also have a 2015 F-150 with halogens and they've been fine, hence I cheaped out and didn't get LED's on this truck as I've never felt the need.
Also, I heard back from Custom Auto Works and he said to reverse the harness and see if that fixes it. I don't have time to do that as I'm about to head out of town for a few weeks.
Claims like this simply baffle me... My halogens are so damn bright I get flashed constantly in the country. On high beam it is like daylight with more than enough range to easily drive the trucks top speed. You guys thinking you need a bunch of aftermarket lights crack me up. My halogens are so bright I never run with the fogs on because every car will flash me then. Being 30 miles from the nearest real town in a sparsely populated county means it gets really dark here too... Best of luck getting your aftermarket stuff to work...lol
People don't remember this or might be too young to know this, but the newer super duties have 2 sets, that's 4, count them, 4 H13 bulbs. It wasn't that long ago that a lot of Fords had only ONE set, so only 2, H13 bulb headlights.
Now I am not a huge fan of H13, I like more dedicated sets light 9006 low with 9005 high, or the HIR bulbs, but two full set of H13 at low or high is twice the light we used to get.

I am not allowed to follow my wife home in this truck. She did it once and never again because I am told my trucks lights are blinding from behind. yes, 4 H13 bulbs minimum and then you can run the fog/driving lights for 6 bright bulbs coming down the road. I see a lot of these trucks on our two lanes and I never run the fogs on my truck because of how obnoxious it looks coming at me, something many people admit they do not consider.
OP, Be a man! Grow a pair! Just kidding I wanted to fit in around here
I don't know if it helps, but I believe I've read that all four lights should be on, no matter whether in high or low mode. You've obviously got a problem. As has been advised, I would undo your alterations and see if that fixes it. If so, it should be easy enough to redo things a different way.

Yeah, the bitch is getting to the snow plow harness to reverse it. Reversing it takes 10sec, but on the F-450 you have to remove the fender flare, then remove the wheel well liner. We all know it's a gamble if you're going to break clips pulling it apart. I spent about 45min trying to get one screw clip on the mud flap lined up when putting it all back together. It's the stupid stuff that really pisses you off! If I pull it all apart to reverse it, I'm just going to wire the lights directly to the upfitter.
It was the CAW harness. I reversed everything and all 4 lights work. I've been in contact with the owner and he's going to see if he can figure it out.
Yeah, me too. I think it is not because the lights are so bright but because people count 4 lit headlights and assume you have your brights on.
I love the people who turn on their brights and leave them on. (versus a quick flash). Then I turn on my brights and leave them on. And then their are the people who wait until they are just about upon you to turn on their brights; thinking they are going to sucker punch you. I now drive with a finger on the light stalk to deal with these clowns.

After a couple of those "sucker punch" attempts I just leave the brights on, screw em... I purposely wait until I am close enough for them to see me switch to low beams, even that doesn't work with many of them, they still flash... Fact is, 4 H13's are bright, really bright.
I have the black out halogen, and I like the look very much. But in my opinion the low beam was not really that powerful and the fog lights were really weak, so I substituted the fogs with a pair of Diode Dynamics LEDs. Much, much better because they cover a much wider area. So now when I am in town I just use the standard, when I’m in darker areas I turn on the fogs and it really makes a big difference, and since I was careful with the adjustment I don’t get flashed.
This has solved eighty percent of my concern. Now I was considering changing only the high bean bulbs with LED bulbs, that way I would still remain perfectly legal without blinding anyone…

That’s very considerate of you. Now only two of your four headlight bulbs and your fog lights blind oncoming drivers.
