Appears my Dana 50 front end is leaking from the pumpkin itself I'm assuming the RTV seal has sprung a leak. Nothing severe just a few drips but I would still like to reseal it. How hard is that to do?
Not hard at all, a few bolts, a drill and wire wheel. You can either get a gasket or use some oil rated sealant (I like TA-31 for sealing oil stuff, but you can also get the Permatex black stuff rated for oil)
My bad, forgot you have a TIB 50.
no experience with those, but from the looks of it seems like you will have to take the housing apart. Hopefully someone who has actually worked on one chimes in

Ohh just watched a video on the removal. I think I will be waiting until I have some more work to do on the front end before I do that job. I can live with a few drips a month until then. Looks like taking that out you may as well do everything while its out.
So for the twin tractor beam there is a seal. You do have to take the axles arm off and take pumpkin apart to fix. Also make sure it is not the oil seals on either side where your axles go in. Those go bad too. If you are looking to replace the seal use a lube locker seal, they are great, and reusable https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-62...er-gasket.html. Also if you are taking apart your axle I would buy new U-Joints (takes 3), ball joints, bearings, oil seals, axle pivot bushing (https://www.energysuspensionparts.com/4.3133), and of course your diff gasket.
I am going to pull mine out soon to do the above, not hard to do. While it is out I would reccomend sand blast and powder coat! Do it right the first time!

Yep I agree 100% its not a remove the diff cover and reseal type of thing. May as well do it all while you are in there. I'm going to wait a few weeks, months, to do mine.
