Just read some interesting news on the NGDV trucks. Last I had heard only 10% of the new fleet would be electric to start with, now I'm reading that 75% of the approximately 66,000 NGDV's will be electric to begin with and ALL fleet purchases will be "zero emission" by 2026.
Guess I'm going back to school soon.
For our duty cycle and fairly close proximity to the home base, an EV isn't a bad choice. The PO will save millions alone on reduced maintenance fees, less towing charges to the vehicle maintenance facility for routine service and fewer breakdowns just from having a new updated fleet. No downside here and they'll have AC.

But... But... But... How will I know when the mail is being delivered out here in the country if I don't have the beat to crap USPS van/truck with no muffler running up and down the road each day... Does this mean I will actually have to walk out and check the mail each day... 1st world problems...
I would actually love to have an LLV that was well maintained. They are so easy to drive and have a ton of space in the back. Fantastic around town hauler. Oh wait, that's what they're used for now!

Only thing I dislike about the ride is going over bumps/dips in the road, it has such a short wheel base it's like riding a roller coaster on steroids, think "Wild Mouse". That and they're rattle boxes with endless noises.
1st time I ever drove one was back in 92 or 93 working at Goodyear. They brought a bunch of them in for alignments and that's one of my specialties.
