The tool box holds the compressor and air tank, which is wired and plumbed to the air bags and upfitter, so trying to make that work to keep cost down. Looks like the roll up type will take up too much room and not work as it will push the box too far back and be in the way of the 5th wheel. I may go with the Gator or Revolver. If I can find the dimension the MX4 is when folded to the last flat position, if it clears the 5th wheel, I may go with that instead. I don't know if the 6 3/4 one uses the same size panels as the 8' one with an extra panel, or if they are different sizes. I still have the beat up one from my 2012 to measure with, but without knowing the actual panel sizes, won't be much help.

I'm pretty sure that the MX4 uses 4 folding panels on both 6 3/4 and 8' bed versions. So the panels would be bigger for the 8' bed. I don't tow a 5th wheel, or have an 8' bed, but have read posts from those that do saying they have no clearance issues with the MX4 and 5th wheel.
I was going to put a chest style tool box in my bed with MX4, but preliminary measurements make it look like I would have to space the box off the bulkhead to open it, further reducing usable bed space. Not sure if I want to do that.
I'd ditch the diamond plate box completely and mount the air compressor/tank in a smaller box under the rolling tonneau cover housing. That stuff can't be that large.

I use the box for straps and airhose storage too otherwise I would just eliminate the box altogether. I just don't want any holes in the bed for mounting things. The power and airlines are fed through one of the plastic covers at the front. I Could remove the top of the box, and that would solve a bakflip cover issue, but I am leaning more towards a retract type cover. I just need to determine how far back I need to move the box in order to fit one in. The only thing I got so far was maybe 8".
However, the bakflip X4 or similar will also get the job done. Fully rolled up wont block either camera I have, besides the bed camera in the third brake, I also have a rear view live in motion at the top of the slider in the back window. Hard to decide which one though, X4, X2, Gator etc. or some other brand. Which ever one I can walk on will fit the bill.
