I just bought a 2001 X Limited 4X4 with 6200 miles on it last month. Want anyones opinion on the price. I thought we did a great job and got a hell of a deal, but what do you all think? I paid 30,989 for it with the extended 6 year, 75k plan included, (it is a Ford Certified Vehicle).
It has everything on it, 4:30 gears, heated seats, power rear vents and air, V-10, leather, heavy tow package, 6 disc in dash, premium wheels and tires, removable 3rd row, and on and on and on...
The truck looks and even smells like brand still! In fact they told me it was owned by Steven Seagal (you know that cheese ball actor with the pony tail - his registration is still in the glove box, funny)
Blue book (and I know that doesn't often mean much) is around 38,500 retail and 33,800 wholesale.
Im looking at excursions to buy one before the end of the year...your truck isnt even broke in yet, and I have seen 2000 model, XLTs with 45k miles on em up here in the Seattle/Tacoma area for that.
So..in my look of things trying to find one myself, you have a great price.
ONLY thing that matters though is if you are happy, then you answered your own question. Youre driving it, not us!.
From what i saw out there i think you did great. I was looking for a while. I was looking for a Diesel, which are really hard to find in MA. I finally found one. Its a 2002 LTD Loaded like yours but I have the 3.73's with the Diesel and 5700 miles. It has the remainder of the 3/36K waranty and the 100K Diesel waranty. It was on the lot for $36,900. I got it for $29,000 and my trade. I traded a 96 Ford conversion van with 80K for it. You can cut up those numbers however you like. As we all know its a paper shuffle when you trade a vehicle in. I usually just say i paid 29 plus my trade. I was exstatic and that is all that matters.
