Buz/Whirl From Engine?

I have a '98 4x4 XLT 4.6 and have a noise coming from the engine compartment somewhere. It is definitely related to engine RPM. It sounds like a buzz or whirling sound. New belt installed, still no good. I think it may be a bearing somewhere? Don't think its the power streering pump, cause moving steering pruduces no change in noise.
Any ideas?

It could be the pulley on the fan belt tensioner I have had trouble with them before.

This is gonna sound really stupid but...... check your PCV. mine buzzed so bad tht it drove me nuts. After 2 weeks of checking and looking I reached over and put my hand on the PCV and the noise stopped! I then began searching for ways to fix this issue. I replace PCV with 3 different manufacturers with still no luck. I then pinched the hose with my fingers and it stopped again. I then went to my local Advance auto and picked up a small hose clamp. I slipped it onto the hose and tightened it down until the buzzing stopped. It has been 2 yrs since then, the clamp is still there, and all is well in Expeditionville!

Thanks for the idea's guys.. I read in the 4.6L forum that the PCV valve should be Motocraft part. Apparently, the other manufacturers utilize an internal spring that will virbrate/buzz. Not sure what is installed now.
Another thread refered to the rubber elbow at manifold, part of tube feeding PCV being cracked.
Will try both tomorrow.
Let you know results.

Thanks Again for the help.
