I’d be way more interested in the Cummins than a 460. As long as either swap was done satisfactorily. If that things only worth 10k I’ll be knocking on your door. Oh yeah, more pics. The supercabs are still desireable, theres a lot more 4wd crew cabs. I’d go with a supercab, oh I did.
Thanks for all of the replies, and I appreciate all of the input. I will get more pics but it is tucked away in my garage for the winter. There is some interest in it locally but I don't want to give it away. As I expected...the values are all over the place. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I don't think I'm far off with my guess given what you guys have put out there...now it comes down to advertising if the local guy doesn't want it.
I will get more pics, just to show you guys what I built. P.S. If it doesn't go for reasonable $$$ it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to keep it!!!!!
I missed your "guess" but you likely are right about if having to keep it.
It's your truck, you and your family/friends that live with it, but if me ... I'd have some form of side steps to ease entry / exit for all. Hugely makes for a happier life.

All I have to say is in the past I have spent hours rebuilding project cars & trucks. Looking back some I should have NEVER sold.
Point is,,, at that time time I thought I really needed the $$$ but looking back i actually could have done well by keeping it. No one really realizes the amount of time and pride it takes to complete a project like the person doing it.
In the end,we all have to do what we think is necessary at that time.
Just an OLD GUY thinking back in time.. LOL
Alex
Thanks for your perspective "Old Guy"...I feel the same way, but there comes a time when you need to thin the herd so you can find your next challenge. That's where I'm at now. I have driven it now as my daily for about 6 years as long as the salt wasn't out and I guess the only thing I have had any success keeping is my wife?!?!? Not sure the truck is gonna go, but having it in the garage this winter has had me thinking?
Here are a few pics I just took. Sorry for the quality, but it was the best I could do given the fact that it is stuffed inside for the remainder of the winter. It will give everyone an idea of what it is tho.
I should have given it a good cleaning before the photo shoot, but it is my D/D?!?!?!
Nope, it's the old school 727 Torque Flight out of the Dodge. No computers on this one!!! That was the reason for the GV O/D unit. I really put some thought into this before I started cuttin it up and am really pleased with the outcome. It is a really nice/reliable piece that you couldn't build for half of what I expect to get from a sale.
Throw it up on BAT with a 15k reserve. Add tons of pictures. Without about 20 more pictures I'm guessing but 79s aren't really special or unique
x2. BaT is a great resource for researching historical sales before you decide to sell. You can see what similar trucks were going for pre, during and post COVID. It's a great looking truck. Cheers
Not a detraction, but just curious. Was the truck originally A/C or did you just use an A/C dash. Reason I asked, looks like maybe a filler on the passenger side firewall ... and then I wonder what the heater is? Again, not a detraction, as I've been thinking I might remove compressor and condenser on my '77. I never use the A/C or even think about it ... I only ever put it in because we had some trips in mind, camping, etc ... but I don't see any road trips being taken in it now.
What would you like to see as far as fab work?? I can get it on the lift in the background, just gonna take some shuffling. I really didn't document it as I went along. It was an A/C truck when it had the gasser in it. I have a Vintage Air heating unit tucked up under the dash, no A/C. The turbo was in the way of the HVAC box on the firewall. Hindsight, I wish I had looked for a different exhaust manifold that relocated the turbo, but live and learn I suppose. That is the one thing I would do differently, but didn't even know they existed at the time.
