A mate came over and we had a good crack at removing the front cab panel. I have the full panel replacement piece and decided to get stuck in and see if we could take the old one out. Not a real easy job! I can see why the last guy who did the same sort of job on my 54 left all the non rusted top half of the panel alone and just cut out the rusted bit. But this whole side panel is stuffed. Fortunately, the dash is out as I don't know how you'd be able to drill out the spot welds otherwise.

Yep, that hole you see at 1 oclock was me being too enthusiastic.
The good news is I haven't given up and sold the project. We're determined to see this through.
