Personally, I don't think you have enough belt on the water pump. My bet is it's going to squeal like a stuck hog when you step on it. There is a reason you see two belts when they drive the water pump and alternator together.

There was only one on the original setup. It ran the water pump and power steering, this setup is the alternator and water pump. I would think the old setup with the power steering pump and water pump would be more likely to slip?
