Most of the door panels are dark jade green. There is also a jade poly green that is slightly lighter. It has a slight emerald color. There are also olive colors that have that camo drab look to it. I suggest you post a picture so we can try to match it up.

if you have the usual dark Jade, the paint I proposed matches dead nuts. If you have the dark jade vinyl bench it also matches dead nuts.

post a few pictures and I’m sure we can get you what you need. Or at least save you a little bit of time.

Rich - Question for you on this red mounting brackets. Did you cut those off a donor?

Yes I did, do you need some? It was already missing the piece from the lower R/H side, so it became a parts panel. No worries I saved the stainless trim. Yes it looks getto from the backside on the panel they went on. But it mounted perfect and is solid as a rock.

As long as you prep the plastic correctly, use an adhesion promoter and use quality paints meant for plastic, almost no one will be able to tell they are painted and they'll last a lifetime. It's no different than painting a plastic bumper. We painted all the plastic interior panels of a car my father built in the 90's and it still looked like new when he sold it 15 years later.

Rich - Nice!! Great idea and execution! I have a set of OEM jade panel with cracked brackets. This approach of yours may just save them. I’ll hunt around for my spare panels.

i assume you just took a Dremel and cut the brackets flush as possible from the donor. And them epoxied them to the target panel. Did you use the fiberglass or just epoxy?

Yes use a dremel and cut off more than you need of the doner/patch piece, then trim to fit. Or use a hack saw blade in a sawzall at low speed to flat cut it off. I used the 2 part epoxy, but I hear the Threebond Plastic Repair Kit is good stuff. It's mostly used by motorcycle guys for repairing cracked fairings, but it works great on door panels. It has super glue and fiberglass cloth and makes the repaired area stronger than new.

The 2 notch behind the arm rest parts, lets if fit tighter to the door. Take the arm rest off and hold the door panel up to the door to see what I mean about the 2 bolt heads hitting right behind the finger cup. I have all kinds of spare panels. And try your hand at making the metal over lay for the piece that is under the finger cup.

This was a prototype, I now make the metal to wrap both side of the tab.
