89 ranger driveshaft problems help

I am replacing the u joints in order to hopefully stop the vibration at the rear of the two piece driveshaft on my 89 ranger supercab.i have tha front shaft out and the 4 yoke bolts out but i dont know how to get the yoke off. it seems that there is one big bolt in the middle but i cant get to it because the u joint is in front of it. is there a way to get the u joint off before taking the yoke off? by the way while i have it taken apart i am going to try the spline greasing method spoken of in the forum. thanks for your help guys.

that is probably the joint that is removable to replace the carrier bearing. Just remove the two bolts on the crossmember and remove the entire drive shaft with the carrier bearing on it.

i have alredy removed the carrier bearing and the shaft is moveable, but the u joint at the rear which connects the shaft to a yoke had 4 12 pt 12mm bolts holding it to the differential. i removed the bolts and it is still attached by what looks like a large nut in the middle of the yoke behind the u joint, but i cant figure out how im supposed to remove the nut with the u joint in the way.
