2019 Powerstroke, 34k. Just drove the truck Friday with no issues. Went out tonight truck wouldn’t start with foot on the brake pedal, only went to accessory and back off when hitting the push start. Truck starts fine with remote start, but won’t go into gear after pressing the pedal and the start button. I can get the truck to start by pushing the brake pedal and holding the start button down for a few seconds, but it’s still locked in park. Possibly unrelated but when I went out to my truck today I opened the door as it was unlocked but got a dinging sound and notification saying the alarm would go off if the truck was not started. I did not have the keys with me so I closed the door and unlocked the truck using the keypad to shut the alarm off. I’m stumped. Any ideas? Brake lights come on when truck is on by pressing pedal, but not when truck is off pressing pedal.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.
Are your tail light or turn signal bulbs out? Weak batteries in the truck and/or keyfob?
Start there.
Brake lights seem to function as normal. Only thing that throws me off about them is they do not come on with the truck off and the brake pedal pressed. That being said I can’t confirm they ever did, but every other vehicle I’ve owned always has. I’m going to try and check the batteries today, it has no problem starting with the remote start, sounds normal at least. I put both key fobs in the center console and still no change. It’ll start from inside the house with the key fob so I’d think the batteries in them are good. Just stumped right now.
There have been a few posts where the truck will remote start, but won't start with the driver in the cab (non-remote). It's usually the battery in that case.
run into can't shift out of park and no start all the time in the mine, mud build up around the shift linkage on the tranny stops it from going into the park completely. To get going quickly you pop the boot off around the shifter and use the manual shift interlock to get it in neutral to start it. Then in a good location you clean the shift linkage

I'll give this a look when I get back to the house. Appreciate the help. Can anyone confirm if their taillights come on with the brake pedal pressed but the vehicle off? Want to make sure I'm not going down a rabbit hole here.
With no key nearby, when I press the brake pedal the brake lights do come on.
If your lights don't come on, maybe you have a brake pedal switch on the fritz.
Thank you for the response, thats good to know. Mine do not come on either without the keys or the truck running. They do seem to function as normal with the truck running.
