Performance brake pads

Does anyone know of a true performance brake pad (not just a fancy sticker) for our 9th generation trucks? I've been running the stock OEM Ford rotors and EE rated (.25 to .35 coefficent cold and hot) brake pads. I'm looking for a FF rated pad. The highest I could find was a Bosch pad rated to FE (.35 to .45 cold, .25 to .35 hot). Most aftermarket brake company's have abandoned our older trucks, so there's not much data out there besides general use stuff.

I have been interested in this as well. I think I remember Hawk brand pads being mentioned before a long time ago. For vintage Mustangs Porterfield and EBC are the the favorites.

It seems like the OBS collector market is heating up a bit as of late. I think the square body Chevy interest is at it's peak and will soon start to fade out. How many different ways can you put lipstick on that pig. I hope the aftermarket steps up for our trucks in the same way as the C10 and K10's. The aftermarket is really the best hope as Ford discontinues more and more parts for the OBS trucks. Market interest and demand are the driving factors to get them to step up. As with everything, Money is the driver.

I put power stop rotors and pads on mine but I couldn't say I saw a huge difference

I've used Hawk metal/ceramic on my 92 GT since 95 & they were the best pads I ever put on a stock caliper/rotor.

EBC makes the best graded pads for specific uses. I used their greens & a slotted rotor w/braided lines & it would literally stand my truck on its nose.

Had the best brakes on a truck I'd ever felt & others who drove it said so as well.

I've now used the Power Stop kits on a couple of vehicles because the price points were pretty much unbeatable & the performance has been excellent.

If you don't do the bedding process on any of them, don't expect much. And braided Teflon lines are worth every penny over rubber.

My mechanic has always told me to buy the cheap pads because the expensive ones just eat rotors.

Based on @Scndsin recommendation, I purchased a set of EBC greenstuff brake pads pn: DP61258 for my 1994 f350. It claims to be rated GG and have a coefficent of ~.55 which is about twice the coefficients of the stock pads. They cost me $130 with shipping. We'll see if it's worth it.

Or do brake pads yourself... Literally even easier and less mess than changing the oil

I have seen cheap ceramic pads destroy rotors but never heard of anything like that happening with higher quality ones.

As important as brakes are, why would you even know what cheap brake pads will do? I doubt if anyone here is as cheap as I am, but cheap and brakes should not go together.

Although brakes may be easy for some, if you do something wrong, you could kill yourself and little Johnny playing in the street. If you have never done brakes, you would never even know if you did something wrong. Not a wise idea to recommend others do do their own brakes.

If you drink water, you WILL (no argument about it) die.
