Speedometer Blues
I need some help. I put another speedo head in my 91. It still bounces pretty bad at all speeds. The fluctuation is about 4-6 m.p.h. I have replaced the speed sensor and the cable. The only thing left to replace is the pinion and worm gear in the tail shaft. Could this be my problem. I stuck my finger in the hole where my pinion gear goes and the worm gear feels gooh however I can rotate the worm gear with my finger. The worm gear turns with the driveshaft so I do not know what the problen could be. Any help would be appreciated.
