Replacement Tail Light Fitment

I've always used TYC replacements on 92-96 trucks with no problems. The 84 Bronco that we are working on seems to be having a slight issue with fitting correctly. They don't want to completely sit up against the quarter panel all the way. Thinking this can't be right.

I used TYCs on my resto because they were cheap. I did have to file edges and corners but they did finally lay down just right, I love them and felt like I got what I paid for.

I thought maybe that would be the solution. Just a bit concerned they might leak after messing with them. I've seen other brands on 92-96 with the slightly different light that fit worse. I do think TYC is the next best thing to OEM Ford lights.
