I picked up a 2018 F350 XLT DRW w/ a flatbed on it. I'm looking for a backup camera that I can mount on the rear of the flatbed that will plug into OEM wiring and display on the display screen. Thanks in advance.
You might can find a camera from a wrecked truck or on ebay and mount it on the rear.
On a 2012 we have, we pulled the camera from the tailgate and put it where the center running lights are right above the receiver hitch.
On my 2013 that I had, the camera was mounted in the ford emblem. So I just took the ford emblem and camera from the tailgate and mounted it where the center running light went on the back on the flatbed. Worked awesome.
I'm getting a flatbed for this 22' soon hopefully. I'm going to try and remove the camera from the tailgate again and somehow mount it to the bed.

We have them use this link to get you into a list of products, from there you'll need to choose the one that fits your connector and desired camera type. They are plug and play and can be mounted anywhere. Or call 888-844-9763 during business hours 830am-430pm m-f central time.
My only hesitation on using the stock camera from the tailgate handle on the flatbed is the inability to adjust its angle. Thanks camera-source, those look like some pretty good options that should work.
So I bought a plug and play backup camera but I’m getting this message on my screen but no picture. Did all 2018 F350 DRW trucks (non cab and chassis) have backup cameras?
Are there changes that need to be made in the BCM or other modules for this to work? It doesn't seem that you could just plug it in and go automatically without some type of adjustment with FORScan or Ford's IDS or whatever their current system is.
I have a rear view camera in the CHMSL that I ordered on the truck when it was new. But I had to buy another device to plug into the module that runs the camera for it to be viewed while the truck is in motion.
Ok, so the backup camera does in fact use the 6 pin connector located at the rear frame crossmember. The diagram I posted was the correct type of 6 pin but mine uses a different wiring configuration than that shown on the diagram. A bad pin, because the previous owner didn't cap it was my issue. No Forscan mod or update was needed and if my 6 pin connector wasn't bad it would have just been plug and play.
On a separate note, does anyone know any other forums that are more knowledgeable on repairs and modifications to these trucks, because I've put a couple of posts on here about SD trucks (both 2011-2016 and 2017+) and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of responses or past experiences offered
