I need new windshield wipers for my 2019 super duty. I live in Idaho so rain, snow, ice, and dust are all things that end up on my windshield. Which ones have you guys found that work on your trucks? I don't remember what I have on now but they need to be replaced. Thanks
I prefer any of the one piece euro type blades and buy whatever they have when I go to Ocean State Job Lot for something. Usually $4-5 a blade and I stock up for all my vehicles.
I agree, the OEM's have worked well. 16 months now since picking my truck up and they are still going strong. Recently I did start occasionally noticing a streak or 2, but they still have a few months left on them for sure. I will likely just replace with OEM's... then again, I haven't looked at the price of OEM's either!
OEM trash only lasted 3 months on my truck. Couldn’t get rid of them fast enough.
Bosch Icons are my go-to wipers. I can easily get 3 years from a set. However I bought a new set this past fall, and I don’t know if they changes or if they are reacting with the rain-x washer fluid I use, but they were sticking and lurching on the glass so bad I thought it was going to literally break something. Never had them do that before in the 15 years prior I’ve been using them.
I like the stock ones, but I also wipe off the windshield regularly and if I see some stubborn stuff during dry months so my wipers tend to have a pretty easy life.
No complaints here with the OEM blades - 2 years now in frequently dusty conditions, and no chatter or streaks. I apply Aquapel to the windshield yearly, which helps with blade longevity, and use high quality washer fluid concentrate (Nextzett) mixed with distilled H2O. Probably overkill but being able to see clearly is a priority for me.
Still running the OEM blades, took delivery Sept 15, 2021. I keep my windshield really clean, use Rain-X in the yellow bottle direct applied to glass, and almost never run the wipers over a frosted or icy windshield.
Coming up on 18 months. Probably wait till after pollen season and go back with OEM.
The OEM's on my truck lasted about 2 years. No snow, and usually not much rain here in Cali. The truck does park outside 24/7, and the wiper part of the blade started to fall apart. I went with some inexpensive Trico blades, too soon to say how long lasting they are but they wipe rain away and were a direct fit.
