I've seen threads on this here in the past. You can try the site's search function, but I never seem to have very good luck with it.
My wife looked to add cablights to one of my old trucks for a Christmas gift. She could not find a shop that to install them. They said the aftermarket were prone to leaking. That was about 10 years ago,so thing may have changed
I added Recon lights to my 2018. Lay out the locations and define the holes required with masking tape. You will need to cut a rectangular hole for the lights. I used a Dremel and cutoff wheel, easy to do. Worst part was taking the headliner down. I left it attached at the back. The wire runs down the right windshield pillar where a plug was already present. In addition to the foam seal, I added a bead of clear silicone as they went on. No issues.
Or, hear me out here... just leave the solid metal roof in tact and not worry about a sealant joint protecting your cab from water intrusion. Even with a proper install, no sealant is meant to be permanent, they're flexible and meant to be a serviceable item, they all have a life span, they all degrade over time. The sealant may outlive the useful life of the truck, or it may start to fail in 5 years. Unless it's a legality thing where you need clearance lights for how you're using the truck, I personally wouldn't risk it.
