I have a 1995 F150 XL. This is a really bare bones truck as far as options. The truck is completely stock as it sits.
Looking over the suspension it has the following,
7/8" sway bar up front, have not measured the rear bar but it's there
Quad shocks up front
Leafs in the rear with a helper spring
I'm assuming this is not the standard suspension on the XL model with the 5.0 automatic trans.
Would this be a handling package? Or a towing package perhaps?
The tag with the truck information on the drivers door jamb says SPRINGS J4L
What were the options on the 95's
I have seen some half tons with the factory overload springs. They were sold under 'auxiliary springs' and about $100 I think.
Sways could be optioned alone or with the towing package. Towing one also received HD battery, HD fan clutch, larger radiator, and of course prewired for a trailer.
Cooling upgrades were available separate also.
No clue on the quad shocks. Wondering if maybe a regular cab only thing.
I looked the truck over again after reading some other posts. It also has the larger trans cooler and the factory 7 pin in the rear bumper. Battery I don't know about because original is long gone.
It's rated GAWR 2700 in the front, 3776 in the rear.
