Power Steering pump replacement
Anybody have a rough idea on cost to have a shop (not dealer) to replace the power steering pump? Mine has started the dreaded whine. I'm sure I could do it but am recoveriing from an illness and not sure I'd be up to task at the moment

MSRP from Ford is currently about $180. Book time according to Alldata is 1.4 hours. Shop rates vary but $100/hour is not unrealistic. I consider that a low number as some shops will "double net" and also double book time. Net for that part is probably around $110. Don't forget to add for fluid, hoses, et al.
