I just wanted to post up this overdrive unit I got and see if anyone recognized it. It’s called Hotshot Auxiliary Transmission by a company called Transportation Technologies Inc out of Texas. This unit is about 20-25 years old.
It has about a ratio of about 0.8:1 and allegedly it’s rated for 70k GVWR. It goes in front of a NP435. I will use it on my 1974 F250 to get a little less highway RPM.
Anyone seen one before? The ranger overdrive units are pretty similar to this one.
That's pretty cool but it looks like it bolts to the bell housing in front of the transmission sort of like a Sherman transmission in a tractor. I wonder does it do an over, an under and a 1:1?

I meant to write in front of the NP435. You are correct. From what I can tell it’s only over and 1:1 but I’m waiting on the instructions.
