You'll need a chip for larger injectors anyway, so you aren't wasting anything by starting with just a Hydra.
Looks like Matthew can hook you up with that.

blue smoke is usually oil from turbo leaking and if bad on the inlet side, it will cause some odd firing issue as it burns before the injectors fire

remove down pipe and see if oily
check turbo outlet for oil after a cold start up with CCV bypassed with a hose

Yeah. I’ll checkv that out when I have time. Bypass the ccv like a draft tube?

CCV doghouse has to be turned/flipped and vented with hose (shouldnt make too much a mess for a quick test though)
make sure port is plugged so you dont suck something in on turbo inlet pipe

if downpipe has oil during test, then turbo needs rebuild anyways

I’m posting 2 videos.
This is what my truck does on cold start. It’s 40°F today. When it was below freezing - and all way down to -30°F wind chills it was 10x worse. Smoking everyone out.

i am losing some oil. But my EBPV is leaking. I can see it under the turbo.

No this was after work. I was just trying to show the tailpipe and what that’s doing. When I have time to take it off and check it I will 👍

I am planning to order injectors from you Friday or the beginning of next week, I’m still debating on whether or not to go for a stock or just the stage ones. I’m just worried that my transmission won’t hold up long-term to 50hp in addition to my current ts6 (edge revolver) which I usually only run on stock. Heavy tow (25 hp) or lighttow (50hp)

I’m not trying to start a snowball of repairs or upgrades at this point. Do you truly think the transmission would be OK with 50 hp injectors?

adding another 50 should be fine unless there are issue we dont know about
50hp wont be activated unless you run a tune for it

Stock then are de tuned about 50 HP
Stage 1 adds 50 to that to be about 100 extra if you run the tune for it

There were numbers posted in the SD injector thread showing X non stock injector flows Y at Z pulserate.

My 205/30s on stock pulse rate (1.6ms?) work somewhat like 90/30s. Which is believable as power with the hybrids feels about how the old 90s did on a 'hot street' tune. Which I guess is basically full fueling.

There is data showing 160s, but what they do slips mind. Educated guess is about 70cc. Jim from Rosewood posted that in there.

I still have my TS6 in the truck for high idle and no start. Hydra still on a shelf.

Right, I totally would blame anybody if something broke I’m just hoping for the best.

I just want to keep my ts6 (edge revolver) In the truck for now and send it in later to get programmed if it would run correctly, because I’m too broke. 15 weeks off of work this winter killer the pocket book. 😱

My TS is rocking Gearhead tunes, even tried them with the 205s. No issues.

It's all in how you drive it. Good tuning helps, but basically drive it like you want it to last and it will. Drive it like you're at the track and you'll find the weak links. OBS Stock, SD Stock or 160cc injectors are all at the beginning before really diving into the supporting mods.
