Hey y’all I got a question and I thought I’d try my luck here. I’m in a pinch and looking for a new vehicle this truck came across fb marketplace and it didn’t look to bad in the pictures. The cost is 7500 and it’s an 2001 f-250 with 151000 miles. I just like the look the price doesn’t seam bad I just need something to drive. Do y’all have anything saying I shouldn’t buy it?
I don't have anything too useful to offer. You say you "need something to drive". I can think of a lot of other vehicles that would fit that bill quite nicely for the asking price, and be much better on fuel and practicality for that. I do find it very odd that some other previous owner would go to the expense of doing a body lift and suspension lift on a 2WD truck! Most concerning in the pictures would be the extent of rust on the underside of the pickup box. All of the other mods listed, lead me to believe this truck was ridden hard and put away wet. Is there any particular reason why you are eyeballing a 22 year old 3/4 ton pickup with extensive rust in the pickup box as "something to drive"?

Anything decent miles is to expensive and anything that is cheap has 250k miles on it. I saw it and it looks really good and I don’t mind the miner marks on it but I just don’t want to go throwing money down the drain for something that’s going to last me a week.
This is a toy, it isn't a reliable daily driver, which is what it sounds like you need.
Anytime I see "Dip-it" paint jobs on something like this, especially with the bed being rotted the way it is, I assume the rest of the body is junk and their hiding something. Body lift on a rotted, or even heavily rusted, body is gonna tear it up. They lied about it having dual exhaust, it has a single exhaust with dual exit tailpipes, you can see the y pipe is still there. And I'm pretty sure that's an aftermarket, knock-off, Raptor style grill, not an actual Raptor grill. That 5.4, even with the tuner/upgrades is gonna be a complete slug in a lifted brick like that..you like 7MPG?
.
Unless you have, at least, a couple grand in backup funds, and the ability, to address the body issues and any unknowns that might pop up, I'd pass. If you need to pay someone to work on your stuff, run away.
Do you need a 3/4-1 ton truck? There are plenty of reliable vehicles out there in that price range, just be realistic about what you NEED vs what you WANT.
Nope, Not worth the money, If you don't need a truck, that $7500 your willing to pay would be a nice down payment on a New car. Don't know where you're at, but sometimes it's worth traveling a few hundred miles to find a deal. That truck has been beat....You can shine a turd, but it's still a turd. Walk away from it.
You can easily find a newer 4x4 diesel super crew in better shape than that for $8000, I'd walk away from that unless they knock it down to maybe $2000.

Even $2-3K down on a nicer used truck, then keep the remaining $5K in an account you add to weekly to pay the note, for maintenance and emergency repairs. Pay as much as you can afford extra every month to not pay interest and you might keep some of that cash in the account once it's paid off.

Yep, that's what the wife and I did when we bought our cars, instead of paying once a month, we went to the online app most banks and finance companies have and we actually paid every two weeks plus extra 50 to 75 bucks a month and we had the loans paid off about 1.5 years early.

My first thought was already spoken here. A pure waste of good money and the advice is very sound as well as "useful to offer".
Just to be clear...is that 2x4s and hose clamps in place of a body mount? That sure looks like a lot of bad news! A good parts truck if you have a Super Duty already that you want to use the bumpers, wheels, interior and such on. Run, don't walk!
I bought a 2007 RAV 4 with 181K miles for $2K. I would not pay anywhere near that much for that rat beaten backyard ricer boy assembled POS. Furthermore, FB marketplace? Even worse. That truck is one hard bump away from disassembling itself.
