I own a 02 Excursion, PSD 4x4 w/ BD 60hp chip, aFe intake, and 4" exhaust. Without the chip, I have very little wheel hop but with a chip, it is very heavy. Can anyone tell me if there is a solution to this? Traction Bars? traction control springs?.... anything?

Wheel hop when?

You actually already have a "traction control spring". It is the lowest leaf on the rear spring pack. It is the one that faces forward and has the rubber bumper on it.

 

I have the wheel hop at acceleration. I see the traction control spring with the rubber bumps but I think I will need more than that. I also added Rancho RX9000 and tried all settings (1-9) but I still have the wheel hop.

 

Sounds like ya might want to look for a set of ladder bars. I will probably be custom fabbing a set for my old truck in March or April to help my truck with this prob.
