If you remove the lines from the clips on the housing and worried about them getting hung up on something you can use hose clamps to then hold them to the housing.
Put a little black paint on the clamps and you will never see them.

I had this same issue when replacing my rear rubber brake line. I found 924-263 was longer enough to be useful. It’s maybe 1/4 longer than the stock one on my truck.
