What kind of jeep do you have? Some sites are model specific, like NAXJA.org and jeepin.com for cherokees, then there are others for all jeeps like jeepsunlimited.com, jeepforum.com, pirate4x4.com, offroad.com, ilovejeeps.com, etc.
I am the new owner of a 79' cj-7 with a 304. Don't know much else about it. I am hoping to find a site similar to this one to help me getting it going. It hasn't run for a few years. If anyone has some tips on getting it re-fired up, please email me or post them here, I've never tried to give life back to something this dead before. But I don't give up easily. Blair
the 304/360/401 engines are some of the best, and underated engines ever built, we have an '81 cj7 with the 304/t-176/dana300, only thing that has ever broke was those @#&*&*&#$#@ rear axle shafts, (model 20)
why does it not run, locked up? rebuild kits aren't too pricey, i rebuilt a 360 for a J-10 truck, had to have a new crank, but other than that, spent 250 dollars (new valves, 3 rods reconditioned)
Hey F_150. The previous owner parked it due to lack of Virginia state safety inspection. Failed from partially rotten floor boards and exhaust. Been sitting since 96'. Hope to try and fire it late this weekend or sometime next week. Doesn't appear to be locked up, rotated a little by hand. Need to clean it all out first. Wish me luck!!! Blair
