ongoing crank but no start issue
My F-450 V-10 is still having problems with crank but no start. Have replaced the fuel pump, fuel pump relay, and the fuel pump driver module. The last time the truck refused to start dragged it to a ford dealer, and thought it was fixed, they replaced the driver module. So, this fall hauling cattle, I backed up the truck and trailer to turn around, and it died right there and refused to start again. Tested the wiring at the inertia switch and found no power. Called a guy good with wiring and understanding of how this truck works, local shop and he said to drag it in. By the time we got there to his shop, the truck would start on it's own. So , he could not find anything to fix. Now that I know it can be a wiring issue, wondered if I could just find a wire that is hot when the key is turned on, and goes off when you turn it off, and run a wire to the inertia switch for those times it refuses to start? Could even add a toggle switch so it does not have to be on when the truck is running correctly? The shop said it could be a cracked wire, cracked circuit board, any number of things, so would a wire from switch to inertia switch work to solve my problem, or would it cause other issues?

These types of issues are easy to find by using a headlight bulb (in its wired socket) back probed into the fuel pump connector, turning on the fuel pump with your scan tool and wiggle-testing the harness until the bulb goes out.
