My 53 is running 8" rims from Early Wheel in CA. Fronts are zero offset w/ 255 / 60-15 tires ,rears are 3/4" negative offset w/ 275/ 60-15 tires, stock suspension.
like your truck. I have a 53 trying to decide what wheels to put on it. I have the same size tire on the rear on 8in wheels. What do you mean by 3/4 back spacing? I looked up the wheels and they show 4 or 4 1/2 bs.
It's JMO - But, this is the best truck color and wheel combination out there, together, they're timeless and classy..
I did find your wheel specs to be an odd (to me) combination, primarily due to your choice of backspacing. Do the tires and wheels fit neatly within the confines of the outer fender lip, or wheel wells, or do they sti ck out beyond the fender.

Pappys53,
When I bought my wheels from Early Wheel Company, they were welded/assembled at the time order was placed. They offered custom offsets for a small price increase. The front wheel centers were welded with 0 offset or centered in the rim. The rear wheels had the centers welded 3/4" further to the inside of the wheels, creating a sort of old time reversed wheel. The rear wheels stick out 3/4" further to the outside than the front wheels. It was a looks/preference thing on my part. Hope this explains it better.

Fordf348, I have several vehicles with different size of tires. My spare is always the rear size(mostly height). You don't want to have different height on your differential. If you had to limp home with different front tires it should be ok, might drive a little weird. Luckily I've never had to do it. Good luck.

Agree, it's really no different than using these mini-spares cars have today. They are always smaller than the size of tire on the car.
