I have a o8 f250 superduty 6.4 auto. It all of a sudden quit shifting into 4x4. Have changed out the shift motor on the transfer. Checked all voltage on the wires. Now the flow chart says check the transfer shift module. I have all the right voltage thru the switch. It had a 7c3t14b205aa module in it nothing worked. I put a 8c3t14b205ab in it. The 4x4 light flashes now but nothing happens. Are they interchangeable
I have looked for a kit to use this transfer but with all the electronics in these trucks these days not possible. Was told yesterday the module has to be the same # and matched to the vin# of the truck. Got ahold of a aftermarket place they can do it. Will order Monday with my vin# (didn't have it Saturday the vin#) . I need the truck back in original order to sell. Hate to say but man made it man can fix it.

Yes it is 100% possible to swap a manual shift transfer case in, don't have to change anything electrical, except for the wiring for your 4x4 light to come on.
Good to know. A gentleman just called wants to buy the truck if I can get the 4x4 working right. Before you say watch for the scam I know this man personally. Will let you know when I get the right module if it all works but that will be the end of next week. I will continue to watch and read other posts that might of had about the same thing.
