51 F1 Hood removal

What is the best way to remove the hood on my 51 f1, I am going to pull engine this weekend. Thanks

Open the hood and prop it up with a stick. Unbolt the 4 side bolts from the 4 short arms. Then unbolt each hinge from the firewall. That way you don't mess up the adjustments on the hood. make sure you prop it up or you'll end up with a headache!! have someone help lift it off the truck because it's awkward to handle alone. if the trucks painted, put a blanket behind the hood to protect the cowl.

Put a couple of blankets on the back of the fenders to protect against scratches.
