54 Steering Wheel Height Dimension

Can anyone provide me with the stock steering wheel dimension from the top of the dash/steering wheel column bracket to the top of the steering wheel?
I think I remember someone else asking a similar question like this several weeks ago but I can't find it now.
Your input will be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Bob

The other thread was asking from the top of the support to the top of the bell. Does that work for you?

EffieTrucker,
Where you are showing 12 5/8" from the top of the support to the top of the bell, I have 11 1/2". I have 16 1/4 " from the top of the support to the top of the
steering wheel surface because I have an aftermarket steering wheel and an adapter, both of which add to the overall measurement. I really would like the stock dimension
from the top of the support to the top of a stock steering wheel. What I have now is a bit too high, so I wanted to see how the stock measurement compares to where mine is now.

I double checked all measurements. The 12 5/8" is correct. Then I get a total of 15" to top of wheel, compensating for the thickness of the steering wheel cover.
Maybe the measurement you need is from the floor? I get a total measurement of 32 3/4" to top of wheel. Add for the carpet thickness, subtract the wheel cover thickness, it would be about 33" actual.

Top of support to top of bell.

Top of support to top of wheel.

Floor to top of wheel.

Ok thank you. Those dimensions are very helpful. Much appreciated.
I think I need to lower mine about 1 1/2".

If you can find a '56 column, they are a little shorter, and a direct bolt-in. The '57-'60 is shorter still, but requires a little massaging to fit.
