Steering wheel wobble?

I have a 98 Expy 5.4 4x4 EB. It has developed a steering wheel wobble/loose ness. It drives straight down the road, it doesn't effect alignment at all. But you can be driving down the road and move the steering wheel up and down a 1/2". I checked to make sure the steering wheel was tight and it is. Anybody had this issue? What is needed to fix it?

just an idea under the steering wheel maybe the nuts that hold the steering column up came loose wiggle the wheel and look around under there might see it idk really

Column is tight to the mounting bolts. Only the steering wheel wobbles around.
