So i am going to check out a bed to replace mine,it has the pass side tool box, no idea what condition its in but what would be a fair price? He is asking $1,800.
And yes i know '' its worth whatever your willing to pay'' just looking for a ballpark number.
Price is based off of overall condition. The tool box is a bonus. Is the bed rusty (the bed fenderwell lip rust is VERY common), tailgate included and condition. Trim package (dent and or race trac), single or dual gas flap. Tail lights and cross over wiring. Are the bed mount bolt holes still square. And location location location. Here is a way to lift them and haul it. Long bed weights 397lbs
Short bed on top of a long bed.
Long bed to long bed with 2x2 in the stake pockets.
I you haul it on a trailer put it on top of some tires or a couple of pallets or better yet flip it over on its top. Haul it upside down, to not bend the lower parts of the bed panels. So based off its overall condition that price is fair now days, maybe a little high IMO but fair if it is rust free and complete with tailgate and all.
Around here you can buy an entire solid parts pickup for that. beds that need a little body work but no rust run $500-$800 normally. obviously that can vary by your location.
