I have a 2011 F350 with the XLT trim. I am replacing the clearance lights as they are leaking around the bases. I see that there are two nuts holding them to the roof. My question is will the bolts fall through the roof when I remove the nuts? If they do I assume I will have to drop the headliner to do the swap. Is the headliner difficult to drop? I have a regular cab with no console or lighted vanity mirrors in the visors. Any instructions would be greatly appreciated.
I just installed new clearance lights on my 2008 SD Crew Cab with lighted sun visor mirrors and sunroof. Dropped the headliner. Not too difficult. Your's should be a cakewalk.
Hi John.
There is a very good YT video detailing the installation of the cab lights on an 2016 F350. Every step you need to know to be able to drop the headliner is there. I don't know if I can attach a link here but you should be able to find it using this video title: "Installing Ford Factory Cab Lights on 2016 F-350 - Detailed Installation Sequence" I hope this helps.
