PCV Valve

I was wondering about the PCV Valve on my 302 the other day and figured that this would be a good place to ask. Where is the PCV Valve located on my 302, truck in sig, and how hard is it to get at and check/change. Thanks for the help.

It's in the back of the passenger side valve cover. It's a good reach and will take some wiggling to get it out, but other than that, there's nothing to it. If you get a new one, get it from the dealer, because it will be designed specifically for your application and not just a one-part-fits-all kind of deal that you get in the aftermarket.

Some info you might want to know about the PCV. A lot of people have been redirecting the output because it causes problems the way it comes from the factory. Read through this thread for the details

Good point. Ford moved the vacuum source to the main tree later on in the model run as well. Someone gave me a sheet from Jasper engines that said they had seen many failures in the number 8 cylinder, and showed a way to move it.
