I'm thinking about how to keep my F250 from being stolen (assuming it ever arrives). Thieves are now capturing your FOB signal and driving off just like they had the real key. I don't like it idea of the Ravelco, because I don't want to have to fumble for a device and plug it in every time I drive. That is the whole point of the push button start. The keys stay in my pocket. I just want to hit my hidden kill switch, start the car, and go. I have read about kill switches on the fuel pump, starter, and battery ground, but I think all of these would also disable the remote start. I see two options to keep the remote start, but stop (or slowing down) a thief from driving off:
Option 1
Once the remote start is activated, you still have to hit the start button once you are in the car. So, it you put a kill switch into that process, I (and the thief) could still remote start, but would not be able to actually start it without finding the kill switch.
Option 2
Let them start it, but don't let them shift it out of Park. You have to put a foot on the brake to shift it out of park. A kill switch in the brake press process would also keep them from driving off. Right?
The Switch
As for the switch, I'm thinking I would like an always off (in kill mode) and only on (kill bypass) when the button is being pushed. If I used a toggle switch, I would have to remember to always turn it off (put in kill mode) when exiting. Of course, the always off switch would not be good for Option 2 if it also controls the brake lights. Also, for Option 1, would it act like the start button is being pressed to kill the truck? Maybe the always off button would only work on the starter, but that would make the remote start not work? Is there any circuit to put an always off switch into and still have the remote start work?
Just get the Revelco and dont sweat it. They claim to have NEVER had a vehicle stolen with their system installed. How do ya beat that? If they come with a tow truck all bets are off.
I dont have remote start on my 2019 F350 CCLB and I thought that having to plug in/out the connection cap would be a pain but I don't even notice it anymore.
Another thing that I like when I am done for the day is looking at my keyring and seeing that plug there knowing my ride will be there manana.
Install was pretty fast and the guy was professional, thorough, clean and was gone in about an hour and a half.
After a year or so I thought I was having an alarm issue but I replaced the original truck's battery's and the problem went away.

Thanks for the feedback, but I'm looking forward to not having to take my keys out of my pocket. I guess I could just hide the Revelco plug somewhere inside the truck, but still not as convenient or cheap as a switch within reach.
I think it should be possible. I've done this with my non push button start truck. Though the circuits are quite different for push button start...
In any case, it's not a good idea to share details of these things on a public forum like this because then the the thieves will know what to look for.
I second the Ravelco had it on the 2018 F350 6.7 DRW CCLB and just had it put on my 2022 F350 6.7 DRW CCLB, losing remote start isn't a big thing for me these things warm up fast with supplemental cab heater. The Ravelco takes 2-3 seconds to install and remove. Love the peace of mind that my truck will be there when i walk out to it.

Greetings…I bought my 2022 F350 king ranch 5 days ago, would you mind advising what the Ravelco cost was to install on your truck?
I had my Revelco installed on my 2019 F350 CCLB SRW truck about a year ago and if I remember correct it cost about 7 bills. And they come to you.
Worth it for me and the piece of mind.
I got 10k in add ons on my truck so having it "covered by my insurance" like some refer to wont help me if it's gone.
Then trying to find another rig already set-up, good luck.
I also second the Ravelco, as far as a manual switch goes and you don't want to have to remember to shut it off turn it on, there's always time delay relays good for key starts,or a remote and wireless relay switch,or proximity readers where you carry on you a data chip or Wiegand card. This is the technology for access control, but I'm not sure I would want to add a reader to a brand new truck.
My Grandfather always said the internet will ruin this world. This thread is proof of what he meant. So ya’ll on here publicly drawing a map of a theft deterrent device(s) all the while the thieves are stalking the forum waiting for YOU to let them know how to successfully steal your truck!!! YOU’RE drawing them the map and you then get pissed off when your truck gets lifted???? Un……believable

Yes, because a thief is going to know exactly who is posting, where their truck is and what exactly they've done to it from a post on this forum. Or not.
People are looking for suggestions. Not posting name, address, color of their truck, etc. I can't believe you're posting here. That might give someone the idea that you have a 2017 and up Super Duty, track you down and steal it.

Pretty sure there isn't a pirate hanging out thinking, "hey, I think I'll track down Poncho and Raven's trucks and find and defeat the kill switches they discussed on FTE".
But I've been wrong before.

Poncho has a gas truck so he's safe, gas trucks are worthless except for getting extremely small loads of groceries...

To be honest, I needed more grocery capacity so I moved up from my previous five F 250's to a 350.
But looking at the truck in your signature, your comment lost value.
