I'm unaware of any specific constraints on the new SD's aside from King Ranch, Platinum and Limited trim packages which will all be scheduled for Job2.

We have already seen Lariat's with the Ultimate package get scheduled so, right now, it may just come down to dealer and regional allocation regarding scheduling.

When I ordered my 2023 in December the sales manager said that when they put the option in when ordering a box popped up saying that due to supply chain issues ordering this option may cause delays. He showed me on his computer that's why I didn't order the trimmer package.

The real question is are they selling it to you at invoice?

There is no real prediction on what options will cause a delay. When I ordered my 22 there was a shortage of Black paint. Again the dealer showed me on his computer. Go figure black paint. 30 Days later, there was no more of a shortage. I recommend you stick with your order and see if Ford delete equipment due to parts shortage.

So far (none are actually delivered) it appears they have planned and allocated much better for 23. It doesn't appear that anything that is a job 1 build is slowing anything down based on the scheduling so far. I ordered a tremor with basically everything on 10/28 and is being built week of Feb 6 as of now - but - they did say only 5% of trucks in 23 will be tremor, and they have lots of orders already.

When I built my 22 everyone was saying that sprayed in bed liners and 5th wheel prep package were the hold up and everyone was dumping them from their order. I stuck to my guns and my truck was built with all items. Not bragging but I was also very fortunate that they released my truck as finished on a Friday morning and it arrived at my dealer on Saturday afternoon. I was shocked. I am four hours from the plant. Good luck to you all !!

Dealer told me this week that they haven't been told there are any commodity holds on the 23s as of now.

The order desk representative at my dealer, the one who specifically deals with the ordering system, told me the spray bedliner adds 2 months. The bedliner is no longer sprayed at the factory. After assembly the truck gets driven to a 3rd party where it sits and waits its turn to get sprayed behind other models of vehicles (not just Super Dutys).

I didn't want the truck sitting for 2 months so I scrapped that option.

That's not true. Yes, the spray in bedliner is applied 'off-site'.
However, for my '22 SD order, once my truck was built, it took only 1 additional day before the truck was scheduled for transport. It didn't sit anywhere for 2 months. Can it happen, sure, but that's not always the case.

Any updates?

Has anyone had any updates on what’s causing build delays? I ordered on 10/27 and am still not even scheduled for build and no VIN yet either. My dealer shows me as in Order Processing, Unscheduled-Clean as of last week and Ford Chat still shows the same as of today.

F250 CCSB 7.3 Lariat Ultimate, FX4, fifth wheel prep, tow package, chrome package, moonroof, antimatter blue. I skipped on the wheel and bed liners thinking that would save me on scheduling, but that does appear to be the case.

I’m mainly just hoping for an ETA so that I know when I need to sell my current SuperDuty by

Thanks!

I've been trying to figure out the same thing.

No one on Ford chat or Ford phone help line is able to say anything except "unscheduled clean" when I check with them.

When I talk to the two dealers sales guys I know, they're surprised to hear that we landed on the moon. They couldn't know less.

I was told when I ordered in October that the 6.7 HO, gooseneck prep, bed liner, sunroof, and Lariat ULTIMATE will all cause an otherwise buildable Job 1 order to get hung. Yet I have seen trucks get built with all of these features and delivered while I wait, having opted for none of them. One guy here ordered what looked like a XLT trim 350 DRW in February and it was immediately built and delivered in March.

I've given up on trying to see some sort of sense in any of it. No patterns. No apparent strategy for production. Just random production like they're pulling orders out of a hat.

I am in the same boat as you guys. Ordered 10/28/22 f350 srw lariat ultimate and had dealer add on board scales option last week but no communication from Ford. Im told from my dealer this won't cause a delay. I don't know what or who to believe. This is our tow vehicle for a RV and have a 2018 so not in a big pinch but would still like some commination. Im pushing $90k for this truck and feel like in Fords eyes I am not important. Times have really changed and not for the better. At least we are seeing other trucks being delivered.

Long McArthurs video yesterday reported this
For May builds
KR will make up 9%
Platinum will be 11%
Limited will be 7%
Lariats will be 26%

Regular 6.7 will be 48%
6.7 HO will be 22%
Pano Roofs will be 15%
GN/5th Wheel will be 24%

Tonneau covers will be almost Zero
and Spray in Bed liners was very low. ( didn't write t down.)

Seeing as the Limited's get everything. and they will be 7%. That 8% a Pano roofs to spread over 93% of all production
If limiteds take 7% of of the 22% of HO engines, that means 15% of the remaining trucks will get an HO engine.

Your truck being a Lariat and a gas engine will help a lot.
