Had a rear brake explosion the other day. Springs wore right through the anchor pin above the wheel cylinder and kachow. Having a hell of a time finding a backing plate for it as this pin seems to be unserviceable. Any part numbers or leads would be great. located in BC Canada

I would love to help you but you have absolutely not defined anything about what you have to be able to look
what are the odds of that…
that’s what mine is! And my backing plates aren’t broken but they are worn and slightly bent (one side) and I am babying them along till I swap my axle.
i dont have the numbers on hand atm but I can later. They are available from ford.. for a lot.
but you may honestly may consider a disc swap if you need every component from plate to drum. This style bendix drum brake is *** in my opinion.

great trucks have the ol reliable 300 in it just a shame new parts are getting scarce. Id prefer just keeping the truck with factory drums although would convert if its cost effective. Have everything already purchased for the drum job too for a wicked price so those ford backing plate would have to be a pretty penny. As well as only needing the passenger rear if you get around to finding those part numbers. Would prefer buying new but I'll grab some from a junk yard if i have to
