Rear frame crossmembers compatability
I'm needing two rear crossmembers in from of the rear gas tank and also the shock mounts.
From looking at pictures they look very similar to the 92-96 bodystyle. There are some good, very easy to get to frames in my local junkyard of that model. Does anyone know if they are compatible with my 78 frame?

They're probably the closest that could be made to work from what I've seen. Have you looked on ebay? I see dentside crossmembers pop up there often, mine are rotted out too. The shock mounts are different, yours should be a stud mount top and the OBS trucks use an eyelet mount up top.
