yeah thanks. the cheapest ignition module ive found with shipping is 18.00 flat. which is weird because 1 connecter on average is about 8 to 10 dollars. Im getting both for 9.00 each. thanks anyway man
Thanks for posting that. So you just found a cheaper ignition module and bought it to cut that connectors off. You did not find JUST the connectors. Got it. Bad thing about it is usually the cheap ignition module has the same cheap "quality" connectors. Hope it works out for you.
I went through this a few months back, gave up and changed out the rotten plugs and sockets for weather pack style. The only issue is that I now have to modify any replacement parts to get them plugged in but I’m ok with that. It takes less than 10 minutes to convert a plug and I don’t run the risk of the entire housing crumbling away, leaving me with just the wires.

I was very much on the verge of converting all plugs in regards to ignition to more durable and better built but decided to keep it OG. I ended up splicing and soldering the splice and heat shrinking it with a rubber tube. works just fine.

Did you wind up purchasing the AMF unit and using the plugs for your ignition box ?

I think I was a bit of an edge case. The truck is currently my daily, the distributor plug had crumbled in my hands and I needed it to get to work in the morning. It was 5:30 PM and getting dark fast. Given more time, I may have gone with buy the cheapest module just for it's connectors.
