I posted a thread on my cargo camera and resolved it as a previous owner must have messed with the module settings in Forscan, as I changed it and now the cameras work perfect.
I got an issue with the folding mirrors as well. I mentioned the above as I fear someone messed with settings. The mirrors won’t fold although I can hear the passenger mirror make a noise but it won’t fold in. Nothing from the drivers. When I manually fold them in, only the passenger extends. But it won’t fold back.
I know that if one wants to have the mirrors automatically fold in when locked, one has to change the settings in Forscan and then move two wires in the connector.
So does anyone have a pin out on the connector so I can see if the correct wires (ID by colors) are in the right slots.
Or,
How does anyone know how to reset the door modules to the factory settings?
Well you are right, one can surely get the built data, but that file is nearly useless. It doesn't identify which section each code belongs to..................nightmare.

Well, like you, I don't quite have an understanding of how to use all that info but some can and do use that data to correct or revert back to as built configuration when a back up wasn't done. Maybe one of them can chime in and walk you through it.
I haven't hooked Forscan up for several months, but did see a video showing a tab in Forscan that will reset the module(s) to as built configuration....if you know which modules you want to reset.
So perhaps good advice would be, if you are buying a used truck, to confirm the as build settings are loaded in the computers. Certainly so if buying from a dealer.
Yep,
i would agree with that logic. Just a few things I missed .
I am not sure how one would tell if the codes had been altered but I am sure someone out there has the answer.
You can download your factory as built from ford, then you can save your current as built from the truck then use the as built compare tool to see whats been changed.
Problem resolved although I am pretty sure I did it the old school method.
Brought up the factory built screen and compared it to my drivers door module. Found five codes that were different. No idea why. Documented which ones I was changing, wrote it and cycled the power.
Presto, the mirrors fold in and out.
Probably and way to input the factory settings into Forscan but I didn't figure that out,
Foorscan is a great resource when **clearly understood and used with caution**. I read way too many posts that sound like guys just seen a YouTube video or heard / read some setting to change and go banging on a keyboard, with no understanding of what they’re doing, no concept of keeping a record of changes, no concept of making backups or undoing a change. NO WAY I’d buy a used Ford without restoring the As-Build data.
