Engine swap ideas

For a 65 f250 with four speed with granny low. I would like to keep that transmission in it but wondering about putting a 5.0 in it... Currently has a 300 inline 6

If you are talking about a Windsor 302/5.0 it should bolt up to your bellhousing. Not sure if the engine perches will need to be swapped out but this should tell you. Comparison Photos of Engine Perches - FORDification.com

Learned this info just this morning thanks to Cropduster!

I-6 is the same as FE perches; just bolted in different holes in the frame/ crossmember. Link is below-

My vote goes to a big, nasty cammed FE!!

I would think that the perches out of a 70 -72 with factory 302 would work.
I sold a small block bell housing, fly wheel, and the perches to a local guy that was swapping out a 352, and installing a later 302 in a 66 f100.
We looked at my cross member, and things looked pretty close.
I never heard if he had to drill more holes, for them, but I know he used them, and the truck used to be driving around town.

My 66 had a 351W swapped in place of the 352 without issues.

Sold it in 2018 and still miss it.
