I have a 2004 F350 SRW with a 3.73LS rear. Will the rear electric locking differential from a 2012 bolt right in on my 2004 and allow me to use my 2004 ring & pinion and axle shafts? TIA

Does it have a Ford 10.25 axle? I thought most of the E350s had a Dana axle in the rear.

Here’s the part numbers, you need both parts to make it work.
Over on the Pirate forum there is a long thread where they discuss that this rear is not designed to take 12v continuously. Apparently it is 12v for 30 seconds then it drops to 5-6v. Any thoughts on that theory?
it is a 10.25 inch Rear axle code 39 Ford 6250 3.55
Unless that is a cab n chassis with a box/RV/utility bed on the back it has a Dana60 under it, Ford never put the 10.25 under any of the complete cargo/passenger vans they produced.
