Do the "Map reading lamps" work or not? Those are the ones that you can turn on and off individually, not the ones that are controlled by the doors or the interior light switch.

Well, that would make things more complicated. If none of the overhead lights that have their own switches worked via those individual switches, it would be a lot easier. Assuming your report is accurate and complete, you may have multiple faults.

Refer to the diagrams below for discussion.

All of the aforementioned lights are fed by the same circuit, #54, LG/YE wire, from the instrument cluster's Battery Saver Relay (BSR) (Cell 89-1). Coming out of the cluster, there is a splice S229 that divides the circuit feed three ways. One goes immediately to the glove box lamp as also shown in cell 89-1. One goes to S937 via connector C264-11 for both vanity mirror lights as shown in cell 89-2. The third goes to and through the CJB where it feeds the ADR along with the overhead on-demand lamps (cell 89-4). Since this third circuit works, it means it has power all the way back to S229. This effectively eliminates the "easy stuff" like a fuse or relay.

I'd suggest starting with the glove box lamp and 1) check the bulb and 2) check for power on the LG/YE wire when the BSR is activated. Once that is resolved, then go to the vanity mirror circuit. This one could be broken wires going into each visor, both bulbs out, or another open back to S229.

Let us know what you find or if you have more questions.

2005 excursion vanity and glove box light not working.

Ok so I checked to see if I have power to either of these. Now the radio is not working. Can the battery saver relay power to some equipment but not all if it is going bad? I already ordered a new one
