Upfitter Switches

Looking at a used 2020 F-350 Platinum and it does not have Upfitter switches. Is it possible to add them myself?

It looks to be possible, but is the cost worth it compared to going aftermarket.

yikes, $800 2 years ago. I’ll pass. Lol. What are people doing aftermarket?

I might put in an airbag system so that really all I need it for.

I have heard of people using SPOD for their switches, but those are just as, if not more, expensive as the up fitters.

SPOD

Depending on what you’re looking to install, the AuxBeam switch panel looks pretty interesting.

I'd rather have stock than any of the after market solutions, i personally dont think any of them look particularily good. If you check some junk yards (car-part.com) you can probably find some in pretty good shape for much cheaper. Search under console and it will return both roof and floor, sift through for roof console with switches. Last time I was looking for them i saw some really good condition ones in the 200 dollar range. Just make sure you get the junction box next to the battery too.

I added the Switch Pro to my Platinum and love it. It looks better than the generic up fitter switches, can be programmed to match the interior color of the Fords, and the switches can be programmed to any type of switch you need. On-off, momentary, ect, ect. Multiple people have mounts for them but I went to one from Swarfworks that takes the place of the taco holder (sunglass holder) thats borderline useless

Here is mine

I am trying to figure out the same issue in a KR. No upfitter switches in my truck.... so options
1. order all factory parts cost about $1000 or more with overhead console, wiring harness and fuse/relay box
2. order a mix of junk yard overhead console and new wire harness and fuse/relay box from dealer likely about similar amount.
3. order a 2011-16 4 switch version and fuse/relay box off ebay, $100, plus mods to fit into overhead console, and some trailer wire or equivalent 8 wire
4. order an auxbeam 8 switch panel ($200), adapter for sunglasses area from overhead console ($75) and adapt as needed.
I am leaning to option 4 if I can get the auxbeam switch panel to work as I like the prior poster install.
