I have a 2000 f350 dually that I put a 06 dually rear axle under that has the newer 8x200 lug pattern and I need the dually hub extentions/adapters for the front axle can I use a 2008-2020 style one it’s 8x200 patter but I’m not sure if the inner pattern is the same on mine it’s 8x170 and so is a 05-07 but I’m not sure about 08 and newer I can’t find any 05-07 adapters I only need one I have one already and I’m hoping a 08 and newer one will work also and it’s 4x4
You might try looking through Car-part.com
Another resource that I have used is looking up parts on Rockauto. If you're dealing with a 4x4 axle, you could see if there is a difference on front rotors bw DRW and SRW. I know on my 2007 F350 the rotors for the front 4x4 where the same as the SRW. The hub extension clamps on to the wheel lugs. The rear was certainly different. I know that a 2010 F250 spare wheel fit my 2003 F350 hubs. So its easy to assume Ford maintained the same 8x170mm bolt pattern in the 2008 to 2012. Length of that extension is unkown to me.
I did not know a 350 axle had a 8x200 pattern. I'd go back to that yard, you need the hub bearings and the front adapter, both would be the 8x200. I really thought they were 8x170 which is wicked easy to find in a junkyard. Uses your same hub bearing
2005+ F350 DRW have 8x200mm 17" wheels to fit larger rotors/calipers. The 4x4 front axles would use an adapter to mount 8x200mm 17" wheels to the 8x170mm hub. So my statement was the SRW trucks still maintained 8x170mm hubs. The 2wd front rotor has the extension built in/on the rotor.
I can confirm that the 2005+ dually adapter for the front wheel is 8x170 at the axle and 8x200 at the wheel. Your 2000 is, of course, 8x170 at the axle, so the adapters should bolt up.
I'm in the midst of converting my 2000 daully front axle to a coil spring 2011, and l've been up to my eyeballs in these different lug patterns for the last few weeks.
Yesterday, I went to the parts store and compared the 2005+ unit bearing to a 2011, and the only difference was in the abs sensor.
Have you considered just changing your whole front axle over to match your rear? The prices l'm seeing for axles are around $800-$1000, which isn't much different than a pair of adapters. Alot more work, of course, but a real difference in turn radius.
If I had the extra money I would put the whole axle in lol the wheels I got came with one adapter so I old need one but can’t find a 05-07 one but looks like 05-2016 maybe 2020 are all the same the wheel bearings/hubs and rotors are the same 05-16 I figured out. Anyone know where I can get one no yards around here have them and can’t find them on eBay only place I’ve found is ordering off a dealer website and is 400$ plus shipping
I know what you mean, they're thin on the ground and cost more than I think they should.
l've considered buying a DRW axle, taking the adapters off for my truck and reselling the axle as a SRW. You might actually come out money ahead since you can sell one adapter. But that ties up $1,000 or so and adds the inconvenience of selling the axle on Offerup.
I'm as sure as l can be without actually putting my hands on the parts that the adapters should be the same 2005-2016 or 17
