Does this steering shaft worm gear fit a 1971 F-100 short wheelbase, manual steering, and manual column shift ???
It is a steering shaft sector that goes in a gear box and shows as fitting: 1964 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 ford 4X2 trucks including pickup truck models. Fits F100 thru F-350 depending on years and is for manual steering. Ford part # C5TZ-3524-B is the same as C5TZ-3575-D.
Not trying to step on toes here, but a 3524 is a steering gear input shaft. A 3575 is a steering gear sector shaft.
Oh no my toes ha..........Not trying to step on toes either , I said it was a sector shaft here on 12-31-22 @ 05:32 also lol lol
Any way , as always I am very delighted with the great information & diagrams
I plan on rebuilding my steering box in the future with as many NOS parts as I can possibly find , so these diagrams will help along with the other info I have scrounged. Just scored a nos 3575-D shaft-sector at a big bargain , so I have a good start to the right parts Now need a NOS carrier assembly
Thank-you all
