stuck hood

does anyone have any ideas on how to unlatch hood that is stuck, the pull lever won't unlatch. 2001 f250

On my old 99, I had to wedge a couple of plastic shims under the hood to get it to stay above the latch when the interior lever was pulled. Had that truck almost 15 years and never got around to addressing that issue.

Mine sticks a little sometimes, I pull the lever, and it doesn't return, I walk to the front, smack the front of the hood it pops up.
