jerks while cruising
I hope someone can diagnose my problem.
I have an 87 f150 with 5.0 and auto trans.
Here is my problem:
When driving at highway speeds, maybe 50-75 mph all of a sudden my truck jerks real hard as if it is tied to a tree with a rope and when I get to the end of the rope it jerks really hard and then breaks the rope and I can go on down the road with no problem.
It might jerk again in 5 minutes or an hour or might not do it again for days, maybe even a week or two but it will do it again.
This scares the hell out of me every time it happens and I am gettin' tired of gettin' scared.
Any ideas?
Also I have a trouble code that says MAP sensor is out of range.
Can it be brought back into range or do I need to replace the sensor?
Thanks and keep on truckin"
