Hey guys I have a 73 f250 4x4 that had dealer installed ac and already has the vents cut open but alll the components were thrown out years ago so I need some help finding a air conditioning kit
I have a 460 and can only run the compressor on the left side of the engine because I have a saganaw pump so I will most likely have to make custom lines.
I would like to hear the opinions of vintage air and classic auto air users on how they liked their system.
The Vintage Air "sure fit" kit for 1973-79 is predicated on the 400 CID (6.6 L) 335 V8 so you will have to adjust as needed. That said, they have many components for sale that will help installers adapt to many different circumstances. It is not uncommon for pro shops to depart from this "sure fit" design in various ways to better meet customer needs and desires. It would be wise I think to study their online installation manual and decide how you want to proceed.

yeah I’ve read all the instructions carefully and I think I will go with vintage air because their lines exit on the left and go to the right so I would just have a little extra slack. With classic auto I would have to have longer lines made
